Biography

Gwenaëlle Bernier has been a lawyer since 1994, specializing in VAT and customs law, registered with the Hauts-de-Seine Bar. She is a Partner within EY Law Firm, responsible for the Tax Technology & Transformation practice, a team in charge of implementing the digital transformation of tax and legal departments, through the creation of solutions based on new technologies (ERP, RPA, BI, GenAI, etc.), combining IT,  Tax and Law. Gwenaëlle is also an internationally recognized expert in “e-invoicing”, having participated in the group of experts on the Billing directive between 2008 and 2010 and in the “VAT expert group” at the European Commission between 2012 and 2019. She is president of the Association of Tax Lawyers specializing in new information technologies (AFNTIC), member of the FNFE. She has written or participated in several collective works on electronic invoicing, blockchain and VAT.
