The Federation of European Bars (FBE)
Created in 1992, the Federation of European Bars (FBE) is a federation of more than 200 local and national bars which today connects around a million lawyers across Europe.
Its goals and objectives
- Respect the fundamental principles set out in the European Convention on Human Rights.
- Guarantee the services of independent lawyers for individuals, institutions and companies.
- Create an independent organization which ensures respect for the essential principles of the legal profession in Europe.
- Recognize the particular role played by European bars in the defense of all rights before all political, economic and judicial authorities.
- Promote the rule of law and safeguard human rights, for lawyers and the people they represent.
The Hauts-de-Seine Bar
With its 2,500 lawyers, the Hauts-de-Seine Bar is the third bar in France but the leading business bar.
Created in 1972, it is a young Bar made up of 2/3 by lawyers working in large international business firms located on the La Défense site and in Neuilly.
But also a local Bar very attached to its territorial roots alongside individuals and businesses in Hauts-de-Seine.
It is a dynamic and committed bar, internationally oriented.
As such, the organization of the FBE conference constitutes a fantastic opportunity to welcome lawyers from many foreign countries to debate a current topic.
